A Lithium Balance BMS has been awarded ISO 26262 certification

Lithium Balance received the ISO 26262 ASIL C functional safety certificate from TÜV SÜD on a customized BMS, which is developed for leading EV SUV OEMs in China.

With more than 50 man-years invested from Lithium Balance into the development, it is a remarkable achievement, the result of the combined efforts of the Lithium Balance team, the Chinese partner, and the OEMs involved.

With this, Lithium Balance has earned more than a certificate. Our products have always focused on safety in real life applications – and now we have the unique know-how, expertise, and experience to develop products that are tested, validated, and documented to the most severe levels of functional safety. This will also be utilized in other BMS platforms that are targeted towards Heavy Vehicles/Trucks, 2/3 wheelers, and Material Handling, where similar standards are applicable.
