LiTHIUM BALANCE was founded in 2006 as an ambitious start-up at the Danish Technological Institute. From the very beginning we were determined to push the battery-based electrification technology forward by developing, manufacturing and selling Battery Management Systems (BMS) for lithium ion battery technologies.

We have been partaking in many of the industry’s innovations over the years and our BMS solutions have spread all over the world. With nearly 20 years of experience in a relatively young industry and over a thousand customer projects, Lithium Balance is a leading BMS solutions provider worldwide.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

As CEO of Lithium Balance, Stephen is driving Lithium Balance’s next chapter as a leading independent supplier of high-safety battery management systems. With a focus on innovation, customer partnership, and operational excellence, he ensures the business delivers world-class solutions for eMobility and other demanding applications.

Stephen brings more than 20 years of international experience across the telecoms, automotive, and industrial sectors. Before becoming CEO, he led Lithium Balance through a period of transformation as General Manager, overseeing the development of industry-first products such as the ISO 26262 ASIL-C certified n3-BMS, and guiding the company’s transition to independence.

A named inventor on six patent publications, including four granted in the BMS field, Stephen combines deep engineering expertise with strategic vision, shaping Lithium Balance’s role at the forefront of safe, reliable, and high-performance battery technology.
